Midori Anzen Co., Ltd. – More Than Just Safety

Anshin anzen, literally “safe and secure,” is a common business philosophy in Japan, one that extends from how food is produced to how medical products are marketed. While some might view it as a simple buzzword, for safety equipment provider Midori Anzen, it is truly the foundation of its business. Whether serving construction sites or R&D laboratories, the company applies this principle to every task at hand.

With its direct, client-first approach, Midori Anzen has become a trusted partner for a wide range of personal protective equipment (PPE). In fields where there is little room for compromise, their commitment to detail has paid off. “Our staff are the first people customers turn to with concerns or new requests, allowing us to stay close, responsive and trusted,” said company Chairman Fujio Matsumura. “In the safety industry, that kind of relationship is especially important.”

A key factor in Midori Anzen’s success over the years has been a steadfast commitment to quality, paired with a continuously evolving product lineup—something Matsumura believes is “essential to staying relevant.” Midori Anzen has a strong foothold in the market for helmets, boots and now accelerator-free gloves designed for those with allergies, created through joint research between its bases in Malaysia and Japan. “Safety has many dimensions, and there are still areas where we have yet to fully apply our expertise,” Matsumura said. He now sees the need to “prove Midori Anzen’s worth beyond Japan’s borders,” linking overseas production with local customers. His client-focused approach will remain an important pillar of this expansion. “Through our network, we will tailor our products to the specific needs of each market,” he said.
