Car accessory firm Comtec Co., Ltd. is now exporting these quality standards to its overseas facilities in the Philippines as part of its production of items such as drive recorders and ozone generators. The company is also moving into the future with its C-Portal IoT system that integrates technology, such as drive recorders and even breathalyzers across a vehicle fleet, tailored for the B2B market. President Shingo Okawa praised the strength of the Filipino partnership Comtec has developed, helping train local staff to high standards. Comtec hopes this facility can drive exports in the future. “We learned that Filipino people are incredibly hardworking, so that’s how we were able to maintain Japanese quality abroad,” said Okawa.
