Who we are.

Miguel Gen Ortiz-Cañavate Ozeki

President & CEO

At Global Kigyo, we believe in building bridges—between leaders, ideas, and the world.

The need for global connection and innovative communication has never been greater in Japan’s super-aging society. Our mission is to help businesses expand their reach, amplify their stories, and engage with the world through strategic media and marketing.

As a former Olympic swimmer, I learned the power of dedication, resilience, and teamwork—values that now drive my approach to business. As someone with a background and education both in Japan and overseas, I know first-hand how much potential Japan has to offer, and how companies can overcome the dreaded ‘Galapagos syndrome’.

As we move forward, we remain committed to innovation, collaboration, and driving meaningful change. Global Kigyo is just the beginning—we strive to shape a future where businesses can thrive beyond borders.

Monica Perez-Ilzarbe Cuetara

Managing Director

In Japan’s super-aging society, the need to globalize and connect communities has never been more critical. Monica’s mission is to address these social challenges through innovative solutions, and Global Kigyo is just the beginning.

Monica has engaged with thousands of leaders in Japan and has coordinated hundreds of reports featured in esteemed international publications such as TIME and Fortune among others.

With a degree in International Relations from New York University and currently studying an executive program at Stanford University, Monica is committed to becoming a global sustainable leader who makes a positive impact.
