For nearly a century, Japan’s Kawaguchi Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. has produced organic rubber chemicals that have enjoyed significant success, both domestically and overseas.
The Japanese firm is now developing new solutions for a broad range of industries as it seeks to grow global sales. These plans include developing novel compounds, as well as modifying existing materials to secure business in thriving sectors such as electronics, semiconductors and healthcare.
Highlighting his vision for the future, company president Hideyuki Yamada said: “Our top priority for the next three to five years is undoubtedly the expansion of our high-performance materials business beyond rubber chemicals. Our target area is the medical and semiconductor fields to provide new and finer materials.” As Kawaguchi expands further, the firm will also be paying close attention to changing chemical regulations and business trends amid a push for greater sustainability in the industry.
Flexibility and agility will be vital for Kawaguchi’s next steps going forward. “We are actively anticipating these major shifts and working on research and development to come up with solutions in advance,” said Yamada.
