Solutions Co., Ltd., that means working to maintain the reputation of the “Made in Japan” accolade. The business produces computing technology for clients in a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, mobile devices, automotive and finance. With a proud record of innovation, it is developing smart technology production facilities incorporating AI and the IoT (Internet of Things). However, President Susumu Nikawa insists that while the firm is pioneering new systems, full automation is not always the right fit for companies like his. “We need to focus on manufacturing a wider variety in smaller batches, rather than on mass production,” said Nikawa.
