Ushio Reinetsu Co., Ltd. is already a leader in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) for the maritime industry in Japan. Now, it plans to channel that success into growing further overseas sales. The company has invested heavily in personnel, hiring new workers specifically for customer service and after-sales maintenance, \u00a0and has plans for growing industry collaborations across Asia through increased R&amp;D spending. In addition to its HVAC business, Ushio Reinetsu also manufactures elevators for seagoing vessels and fireproofing materials for clients both onshore and at sea. Working in an industry that provides the backbone for global trade, President Shigeharu Oda believes it is vital to build on the company\u2019s existing bases in China and South Korea by diversifying its business portfolio. \u201cGlobalization is inevitable. We want to set our sights on new targets, especially in Southeast Asia.
