For over a century, innovation and sustainability have been woven into the fabric of Japanese company NiKKi Fron Co., Ltd. With roots as a wholesaler dating back to 1896, the firm evolved to manufacture packing solutions from natural silk<\/span>\u200b<\/span>,<\/span>\u200b<\/span><\/span> hemp waste, <\/span>\u200b<\/span>and<\/span>\u200b<\/span><\/span> new materials.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The modern company, now renowned for its fluororesin products, celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2024 by embarking on a new challenge. <\/span>Developing horizontal <\/span>\u200b<\/span>recycling of polytetrafluoroethylene (<\/span>\u200b<\/span><\/span>PTFE<\/span>\u200b<\/span>), commonly known as Teflon,<\/span>\u200b<\/span><\/span> that uses machining scraps, the business <\/span>\u200b<\/span>will <\/span>\u200b<\/span><\/span>soon launch \u201cSustaina Fron<\/span>\u200b<\/span>,<\/span>\u200b<\/span><\/span>\u201d the world\u2019s first semiconductor-grade recycled PTFE.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With the company motto of “<\/span>\u200b<\/span>u<\/span>\u200b<\/span><\/span>tilize limited resources effectively,” President Takayuki Kasuga notes<\/span>\u200b<\/span>,<\/span>\u200b<\/span><\/span> “While representing the spirit of the company, this is a perfect fit for modern sustainability.
