Machined parts procurement is one of the most vital cogs in Japan’s manufacturing powerhouse. For more than 30 years, fabless firm Agency Assist Inc. has been leveraging its unique trading network and expertise, providing high-quality machining and surface treatment for various industrial parts.
To strengthen its overseas expansion, the company has established an office in Vietnam to export Japanese quality standards while also training local staff in Japanese manufacturing inspection skills. Some technical trainees continue to work at this new Vietnam base after learning skills at the Japan Quality Control Center. Agency Assist believes this Southeast Asian foothold can help pave the way for further international expansion. President Yusuke Masui is confident the business now has a great opportunity to showcase its services to the world. “With many customers in Europe and North America seeking machined parts from Asia, I believe our procurement model will be much needed in the coming years,” said Masui.
Working at the heart of technology across many sectors, the business is well-equipped to take advantage of fast-moving changes. With 3D manufacturing technology continuing to revolutionize production at all levels, Agency Assist has established a department dedicated to these developments. “We need to be responsive to modern changes and work tirelessly to refine our services and technology. In parallel, we are also investing in human resources and professional development,” said Masui. “Each of our employees takes responsibility for their role and actively engages in their work. I am personally committed to building a culture and environment that motivates our employees,” Matsui said.
